Optical Technology, Certificate of Achievement - Contact Lens
Students who complete the Optical Technology Certificate Contact Lens/Dispensing Program will be qualified to adapt and fit corrective eye wear, as prescribed by ophthalmologists or optometrists; to assist patients in selecting appropriate contact lenses; and to prepare work orders for ophthalmic laboratory technicians. Includes instruction in geometrical optics, ophthalmic optics, anatomy of the eye, prescription interpretation, contact lens adaptation and fitting, and prosthesis fitting, facial and eye measuring.
