Oxnard College was founded in 1975 and is a member of the Ventura County Community College District. Our college is located in the heart of Oxnard, the largest and most vibrant city in Ventura County. We’re proud of our faculty and staff who are wholeheartedly dedicated to helping students achieve their dreams. For some, those dreams include the attainment of an Associate’s Degree and transferring to an excellent university on their way to a rigorous profession. For others, those dreams include securing a rewarding career in one of the stellar technical programs we offer such as Culinary Arts, Fire Technology, or Dental Hygiene. In all cases, we offer an affordable and supportive pathway to a better life.

In recent years, Oxnard College received national recognition for our strong academic programs and equity-minded practices for increasing graduation and transfer rates. Recently, the college was recognized by the prestigious Aspen Institute as among the top 150 community colleges in the nation. By coming here, you are choosing a college with a track record of student success and completion.

As the proud son of hard-working immigrant parents, I am the first in my family to receive a college degree. I am the recipient of a public school education, including a community college education which prepared me to successfully navigate a four-year university and my career. Today, my joy and my purpose are helping others find their own path to success in its many forms. That is also the purpose and the legacy of Oxnard College.
