About the Certificate of Completion
A Certificate of Completion is is a noncredit certificate awarded to students who have satisfactorily completed a sequence of noncredit courses designed to improve employability or job opportunities.
No unit credit is awarded for courses completed as part of a Certificate of Completion. These courses are offered free of charge, with the exception of required textbooks and other instructional materials, if applicable.
Requirements for the Certificate of Completion
To earn a Certificate of Completion, a student must:
- Complete all applicable noncredit major coursework as prescribed in the District College catalog with a passing grade of "C" or better or "P" in each course.
- Complete a minimum number of required hours, as prescribed in the catalog of the District College granting the Certificate of Completion.
- There is no residency requirement for Certificates of Completion.
- Apply for the noncredit certificate through the appropriate college office granting the certificate.
