About General Education

General Education (GE) is one of the required components of all Associate degrees. At Moorpark College, there are two General Education options available for students to select, including the Moorpark College General Education pattern and the Cal-GETC. The major and/or transfer path a student is pursuing will dictate the best option for the student.

Moorpark College General Education Requirements

Moorpark College’s General Education (MC GE) plan is based on Title 5 requirements of the California Educational Code and District policy. It applies to most, if not all, local associate in arts (AA) and associate in science (AS) degrees.
