INTR V95 Internship I 1-4 Units
In-Class Hours: 60-240 unpaid cooperative
Advisories/Rec Prep: Successful completion of at least two courses in the discipline
Enrollment Limitations: Criminal background clearance. Current CPR certification for health care provider (American Heart Association) or professional rescuer (American Red Cross). Drug and alcohol clearance. Proof of freedom from and immunity to communicable diseases. No acrylic or long nails in clinical settings. Physical examination demonstrating general good health. No visible tattoos or visible body piercings except single studs in earlobes. Completion of 15 units towards a Medical Assisting Certificate of Achievement and approval of the department chair.
This course offers students who are volunteers (unpaid) an opportunity to obtain work experience related to their field of study. Students are accepted as a result of consultation with a designated faculty member in the discipline and the acceptance of an approved work proposal.

Advisories/Rec Prep: Successful completion of at least one course in the discipline
Enrollment Limitations: Criminal background clearance. Current CPR certification for health care provider (American Heart Association) or professional rescuer (American Red Cross). Drug and alcohol clearance. Fingerprint clearance. Proof of freedom from and immunity to communicable diseases. No acrylic or long nails in clinical settings. Current negative TB test or chest x-ray. Physical examination demonstrating general good health. No visible tattoos or visible body piercings except single studs in earlobes. Completion of 3 units towards a Medical Assisting Certificate of Achievement and approval of the department chair. .
