Drafting Technology: Industrial Design and Manufacturing Option, Certificate of Achievement
Drafting Technology: Industrial Design and Manufacturing Option, Certificate of Achievement
The Drafting Program is designed to teach industrial design drafting for career advancement, general interest, or preparation for transfer to four-year universities in fields like manufacturing or industrial technology. Students can enroll into individual classes to develop individual skill sets or obtain a Certificate of Achievement. The program emphasizes the link between design engineering and manufacturing by focusing on design principles, material properties, technical detailing, and specialized software applications used in design industries. There is a broad range of career opportunities such as Drafters, Designers, Illustrators, and Model Makers.
