Financial Aid
Financial Aid

Ventura College offers a variety of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs to help students meet educational expenses. Approximately 52% of Ventura College students receive some form of financial assistance each year, including grants, fee waivers, scholarships, work-study, and loans. Many students qualify for financial aid that does not need to be repaid.
Students are encouraged to apply each academic year by completing one of the following applications:
-
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at StudentAid.gov
-
California Dream Act Application (CADAA) at dream.csac.ca.gov (for students eligible under AB 540)
Applying early is recommended because some financial aid programs are awarded on a limited basis.
Eligibility for financial aid is determined according to federal and state regulations, financial need, enrollment status, and academic progress. Financial aid funding is limited and may not cover the full cost of attendance for all students.
