The Certificate of Completion

About the Certificate of Completion

A Certificate of Completion is a noncredit certificate awarded to students who have satisfactorily completed a sequence of noncredit courses designed to improve employability or job opportunities.

No unit credit is awarded for completing any of the courses required to earn a Certificate of Completion. These courses are offered for no cost, with the exception of textbooks and other materials, if required.

Requirements for the Certificate of Completion

To earn a Certificate of Completion, a student must:

1. Complete all applicable noncredit major coursework as prescribed in the District College catalog with a passing grade of "C" or better or "P" in each course.
2. Complete a minimum number of required hours of study as prescribed in the catalog of the District College granting the Certificate of Completion.
3. Apply for the noncredit certificate through the appropriate college office granting the certificate.
4. There is no residency requirement for Certificates of Completion.
