The Certificate of Achievement in Automotive Transmission and Driveline Systems provides training required to diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul the automotive transmission and drive line. Torque converter operations, transmission lubrication and cooling systems, pressure gauges, and electrical circuits will also be covered. Use of precision equipment including a digital volt/ohm meter, automotive hardware fasteners, and other specialty tools are emphasized. This certificate prepares graduates to enter the workforce as entry-level drivetrain specialists in facilities including engine repair, transmission repair and driveline repair. 

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to: 

• Examine and evaluate automotive Transmission and Driveline systems and components.
• Practice environmental safety in accordance with applicable safety and environmental regulations governing the automotive industry.
• Interpret and analyze online service data, written repair material and technical service bulletins to repair and service a vehicle.
• Organize and care for basic automotive tools and specialized equipment and store safely.
• Practice the use and care of basic automotive tools and equipment.
