The Heating and Hydronics Program is an award to recognize proficiency in heating and hydronic systems concepts and practices. The program prepares students to become environmental control technology/HVAC/R technicians to maintain and repair heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Technicians can specialize in either installation or maintenance and repair.
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- List and describe the various types of heating systems used in building heating applications.
- Diagnose a mechanical combustion problem with a heating system.
- Summarize a solution to a specific mechanical combustion problem.
