The Business of Cannabis Certificate of Completion program is designed to train students to be employable in the cannabis industry.  Students completing this program will be prepared as entry-level employees and increase their chances of being hired in a variety sectors in the industry.

The program is offered in the noncredit format. Noncredit instruction provides access to a variety of courses tuition free to assist students in reaching their personal, academic and professional goals.

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to: 

• Introduce current specialized cultivation methods and why they are used in today's business climate.
• Explain the evolution of cannabis in our economy, where it is headed in the future and the opportunities the industry offers.
• Understand the basics of cannabis cultivation and processes of extraction as it relates to business cost and quality control.
• Identify the different means of transportation and distribution in addition to the regulations that guide them.
• Understand the different retail options and industry opportunities for jobs and self-employment.
• Comprehend the most recent cannabis-related regulations and describe how they guide the industry.
• Maneuver the legal landscape of marketing and sales in the cannabis industry.
• Understand and describe the legal guidelines that are involved on the human resources side of the cannabis industry.
